Isn’t it amazing how sometimes just explaining the obvious makes a world of a difference in any relationship? It is unfortunate that we all seem to have this idea that everyone knows this or that because it is so obvious, logical, simple… Common sense, as some might call it. The fact is that very few people stop to think about what is right there before them. We’re all expecting the world to be complicated and so we miss the facts that are not.

I could give 1000s of examples of this. And I am sure others could too. But in this article, I will write about one issue that I have to argue over and over and over again.

Bosnia is a small country with a huge government. It came out of a really tough war almost 26 years ago. To some, this might seem like a long time, but the fact is, it takes a lot longer to recover from such brutality. One reason is that at the very beginning of an end of a war, war-profiteers are the ones with resources and means to take up positions. This makes sense. One, they used the war to make themselves rich while others lost everything; so they are richer in real and relative terms. But also, while others suffered the war, as in physiologically, they didn’t, not so much. So once the war ended, while many people needed a good therapist, these guys were ready to get on with taking up positions.
