MacKenzie Scott Foundation Scam Part Two
Update on a previously submitted article
So, on 19.10.2021. I thought I was done with this scam. However, the very next morning I got a message on Telegram:
So I sent a thank you message and that I will be in touch the moment I get the package.
An hour or so later I got an email from FedEx
Dear customer,
Your package will be delivered to your provided address. We received a payment slip of ($19,200.00)for your shipping fee courtesy Mackenzie Scott Foundation.
The United States Reform Act of 1986 imposes on foreign corporations owning or operating a ship calling at any US port on or after January 1, 1987 tax on their US source gross transportation income (“USGTI”). Fifty percent of all transportation income attributable to transport which begins or ends in the USA will be considered US source gross transportation income and as such, will be taxed at a rate of four percent .
You’re now left with the tax fee of ($2,100.00) dollars. You are expected to clear your tax charge before your delivery will be approved, after you have cleared your tax charge of ($2,100.00) your package will be delivered to your provided location within two working days.

They were asking for $2,100.00. Apparently, it’s just the tax.
I wrote them an email asking them to stop asking me for money.
They repeated this message on Whatsapp, so I repeated my reply on Whatsapp. They told me to contact the sender. I told them that I will not bother the sender until I get my package and that they can do what they like.
Then, I got a message on Telegram from ‘MacKenzie’ about how I must pay the tax as all good citizens should. The exchange of messages went on. They were getting increasingly pushy, saying things like ‘I don’t trust you can manage an organisation’. I wrote back that they didn’t handle the delivery charges, and that no, I cannot abide by their rules in which they are asking me to send them money. I also said that we had established that ‘yesterday’.
Anyway, I think it’s really over now. They’ve sent me a message that my CASH GIFT has been returned, the delivery has been terminated. Yes, the imaginary CASH GIFT has been returned to the land of lies it came from. Oh, man!
Some people are really sick. How could anyone abuse such an amazing act of generosity that this world so desperately needs? Instead of encouraging more generosity, some plonkers out there decided to abuse it so that they can rip people off. It is sick. I hope they catch them and lock them up.
